Keegan's book is outstanding for the the battles and fighting. I felt the strategic decisions of the war and the Nazi motives were too sparse and missed the mark. Those aspects are covered better in other books, such as Weinberg’s masterpiece “A World at Arms” and "The Storm of War" by Andrew Roberts.
