Still looks great after all these years. Visually spectacular with excellent acting. Also nice to see cigarette smoking back in style. Certainly should be in the top 5 of any sci fi fan's favorites. And let's face it, you probably had a few teenage day dreams that included Sean Young.

Ok, Aliens is one of the best creature features ever made, but it also happens to be a terrific sci fi film. This is what James Cameron could do before he decided to make an overblown film with lots of computer graphics, crappy dialog, and tall blue indians.

A new movie, but certainly worth any sci fi fan's time. See my review on Amazon. Also included on the DVD is a short film called "Whistle" that's worth watching.

Star Trek is the granddaddy of popular sci fi. However, it's hard to narrow down the choice picks. There have been many good episodes over the years.

Sci fi movie made out in the corn fields of Pennsylvania. Like most Shyamalan films, the ending pulls all the strings together.

Like Blade Runner and Total Recall, this film is based on a novel by Philip Dick. The man had a thing for sci fi.

A guy from the future trying to figure out the past. Terrific performance by Brad Pitt.

The 3rd kind is... human-alien contact.

Movie adaptation of a book by Carl Sagan. TV broadcasts from the 1936 Summer Olympics by none other than Adolf Hitler come back to haunt us. Clever concept that's fairly realistic. Also nice to see the clear eyes and chiseled faces of Jodie Foster and Angela Bassett.

Dune... the spice of life.

The story is interesting, but with haphazard construction. More like a three part morality play. Could have been better, but worth watching at least once. I especially liked the bridge to Rouge City, Gigolo Joe, and the Blue Fairy.

Interesting film about illegal immigration across the US-Mexico border. The pace is a bit measured (some say slow), but I was never bored. I liked the chemistry between the main characters. Some segments have the feel of a well done documentary.

At one point, the body count gets a little out of hand, but that's just Riddick gettin' down to business. In general, it's a well done sci-fi action flick.

Alien invasion creature feature. Has its good parts (stealth fighter attack on alien ship) and its iffy parts (enraged man in fist fight with alien). Ending begs for a sequel.
